Hope Borders Shares Her Experience In The MPA Program.

Q)  How long have you been in the MPA Program and what is your concentration?

A) This is my second year in the MPA Program. My concentration is Management. 

 

Q) What are your career goals, and how has the MPA program helped you to progress towards your goals?

A) I received my undergraduate degree in Public Health. My ultimate goal is to create a non-profit organization that caters towards the health needs of African-Amercan mothers and their children. The MPA program has given me the opportunity to enhance my knowledge in areas that are essential towards my career while learning how to be an effective leader.  I will leave the program with the skills to effectively turn my dream into a reality. 

 

Q) What advice would you give to a prospective student about the App State MPA program?

A) My advice to a prospective student concerning the App State MPA program is to take this advantage of everything. You will become what you make out of this experience. Continue to build up the self-confidence within yourself every single day. Do not be afraid to reach out to your professors with any concern you may have. Lastly, utilize as many networking opportunities as you can as they may help you in your future career.
